Well-known titles include Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Hulk, Daredevil, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Punisher, Blade, Ghost Rider and also the most successful American comic book series of the 1990s – The X-Men. Many comics have been made into films. Following an announcement on August 31, 2009, Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion, Now, under Disney’s helm, Marvel has become an even bigger brand in the modern world of entertainment.
