A new teaser for Gen V season 2 has fans talking as the spinoff of The Boys prepares to return on Amazon Prime Video on September 17, 2025.

The second season will continue following the students of Godolkin University, where young Supes are trained in a world full of danger and corruption.

Jaz Sinclair returns as Marie Moreau, who survived a full optic blast from Homelander in the first season, showing her potential to be one of the most powerful characters in the universe.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sinclair said, “I hoped that they would write more into that [for season 2], and they definitely did. It’s kind of like Harry Potter with Voldemort with the death curse. How did he survive?”

The teaser hints that Marie may even be stronger than Homelander, and could play a crucial role in The Boys final season. Sinclair added, “I was always hoping that they would write me to kill Homelander. I always really liked the idea of taking him out ’cause he’s such a royal ass, you know?”

Season 2 picks up a few months after The Boys season 4. Marie and her friends—Emma Meyer, Jordan Li, and Andre Anderson, return to Godolkin University after spending time in the Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center, a facility described by showrunner Eric Kripke as a prison for Supes.

The campus is now under Homelander’s control, reflecting the growing influence of his totalitarian power.

Hamish Linklater joins the cast as the new dean, who trains the students to become soldiers, while returning cast members Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Asa Germann reprise their roles.

The story will explore a program that could change the balance of power between humans and Supes, building toward a larger connection with The Boys’ main storyline.

Kripke, who runs both The Boys and Gen V, discussed Marie’s potential in the series with Entertainment Weekly. “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet? Just because she has the potential to be, doesn’t mean that she is,” he said, teasing the “chosen one” angle while keeping the show’s satirical tone.

The new season will release its first three episodes on September 17, 2025, with the remaining episodes following weekly until the finale on October 22, 2025.

Fans can expect more action, dark humor, and intense power struggles as the students face new challenges and potentially influence the future of the world of The Boys.
