The movie is being made by Bluey’s creator, Joe Brumm, who is writing and directing the project. Brumm is also serving as an executive producer. Production is handled by Ludo Studio alongside BBC Studios, with Amber Naismith, known for films like Happy Feet and The LEGO Movie, producing.

Returning to voice their characters are Melanie Zanetti as Chilli (Mum) and David McCormack as Bandit (Dad). This will be Bluey’s first time appearing in a full-length movie after years of success as a television series. In the UK, it is the number one kids’ show on Disney+ and CBeebies. The series has also picked up major awards, including a Peabody Award and recognition from the Television Critics Association in both 2023 and 2024.
