‘Gen V’ Drops Thrilling Teaser Ahead of Season 2 Premiere
A new teaser for Gen V season 2 has arrived, giving fans a closer look at what’s coming in the spinoff of The Boys. The second season will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 17, 2025, and it is set to connect directly with the final season of the original show.
The teaser highlights a tense moment between Marie Moreau, played by Jaz Sinclair, and Starlight. Starlight wants Marie to return to Godolkin University to carry out a dangerous plan. Marie, however, is worried, showing the high stakes of the upcoming season.
The clip also features Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar confronting Marie. When she asks him what he wants, he simply says “you,” hinting at Marie’s growing power and importance among the Supes.

Gen V continues to follow students with superpowers at Godolkin University. Marie survived a full optic blast from Homelander in season 1, and the teaser suggests she is becoming stronger than ever. Jaz Sinclair recently said, “I hoped that they would write more into that [for season 2], and they definitely did. It’s kind of like Harry Potter with Voldemort with the death curse. How did he survive?”
The teaser from Comic-Con also hints that Marie could rival Homelander in strength. Sinclair added, “I was always hoping that they would write me to kill Homelander. I always really liked the idea of taking him out ’cause he’s such a royal ass, you know?”
Season 2 takes place a few months after The Boys season 4. Marie and her friends, Emma Meyer, Jordan Li, and Andre Anderson, return to Godolkin University after time in the Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center, a prison for Supes. The campus is now under Homelander’s control, showing how much power he has.
Hamish Linklater joins the cast as the new dean, who trains Supes to be soldiers. Returning cast members include Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Asa Germann. The students uncover a program that could change everything while tensions between humans and Supes grow.
Showrunner Eric Kripke explained Marie’s role, saying, “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet? Just because she has the potential to be, doesn’t mean that she is.” His comments suggest a “chosen one” storyline while keeping the show’s dark humor intact.
Gen V season 2 will release its first three episodes on September 17, 2025, with new episodes following weekly until the season finale on October 22, 2025. Fans can expect action, surprises, and dark humor as Marie and the other students face new threats and challenges.
