Superfuse, the 2023 action RPG that has been in Steam Early Access, is set to be removed from the platform on October 10, 2025.

The game, which drew inspiration from popular looter RPGs like Diablo, Torchlight, and Path of Exile, will no longer be available to purchase, and its online features will be shut down.

After that date, players can only access the game offline. Fans who bought the game during Early Access are now upset, especially as there is no official word about refunds.

The news comes from Raw Fury, the game’s publisher.

In a statement, they confirmed that the studio behind the game, Stitch Heads Entertainment, has closed down. “Unfortunately, Stitch Heads Entertainment, the studio behind the game, has ceased operations; and as a result, we will no longer be able to support the game’s servers, general stability, or offer any patches and updates. After much consideration and based on Steam’s guidelines and instructions, we’ll be removing the game from Steam as of October 10, 2025,” the statement reads.

Raw Fury also said that the game will remain in players’ Steam libraries permanently, but it will not receive any further updates or improvements. “This is an unfortunate situation, and we wish we could have brought you better news for Superfuse and its future. We want to thank all of you who have been part of its community,” the publisher added.

Superfuse struggled to find a strong audience, reflected in its “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam.

Much of the criticism came after support for the game stopped and it became clear that development would not continue. Players expressed disappointment that the game’s potential would never be realized. “Huge potential wasted, the only thing good we got out of it is the soundtrack,” one fan commented.

Another wrote, “Perfect example of a cash grab. Thanks for abandoning something that could have easily been an amazing game.”

While the exact reasons for the shutdown are unclear, nothing suggests the game itself was a poor product. The closure appears to be tied to the studio shutting down rather than lack of quality or player interest.

For now, PC gamers will have to enjoy the game in its current form or explore other titles on Steam. The delisting has caused frustration in the community, especially for those who spent money during Early Access.

It’s always disappointing to see a promising game disappear, especially one that showed clear potential. Superfuse’s shutdown highlights the risks of Early Access games, where support can vanish suddenly. What do you think about this situation? Will you miss Superfuse, or do you see it as a cautionary tale for Early Access games? Share your thoughts in the comments.
