Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban End 19-Year Marriage, Reportedly a One-Sided Decision

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly separated after 19 years of marriage. According to TMZ, the couple has been living apart since the start of the summer, with Kidman staying at home with their two children while Urban has moved into his own residence in Nashville.

A source told TMZ that Kidman has been “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”

The separation appears to be one-sided, as Kidman reportedly did not want the split and is still trying to save the marriage. “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home,” the source added.

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 and have two daughters, now aged 14 and 17. It remains unclear whether the pair will officially divorce. Over the years, the couple has maintained multiple homes, including properties in Nashville, Beverly Hills, Sydney, and Manhattan. Urban has publicly credited Kidman for helping him overcome his struggles with alcohol.

Before her marriage to Urban, Kidman was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. She met Urban in January 2005 at G’Day LA, an event honoring Australians, and the pair got engaged in May 2006.

They married in June 2006 at Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in Sydney and honeymooned in French Polynesia. Reflecting on their early years together, Kidman once said, “We didn’t really know each other – we got to know each other during our marriage.” Their first daughter was born in 2008, and their second in 2010 via gestational surrogacy.

Despite their public image as a strong couple, Kidman recently revealed that she and Urban never worked together on screen, explaining, “We’re together in life, so we don’t need to do our show together. Our life is a show.”
