Ezra Miller recently admitted that joining Hollywood was the “craziest” thing they’ve done for money.

The Flash star made the confession during a brief street interview with Happy News Live, where they were asked about their wildest money-related move. “Sh***. Being in the acting industry. Hollywood,” Miller replied candidly in a clip shared on Instagram by @happynewslive.

Miller’s career has been marked by both success and controversy. Their early legal troubles date back to June 2011, when they were stopped by police in Pittsburgh for a broken brake light.

Officers found marijuana in Miller’s possession. While the drug charge was dropped, they were fined $600 for disorderly conduct. Miller later commented on the incident, saying, “I don’t feel like there’s any need to hide the fact that I smoke p**. It’s a harmless herbal substance that increases sensory appreciation.”

Controversy followed Miller in later years. In 2020, a video surfaced showing what appeared to be Miller choking a woman in a bar in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Variety confirmed the incident took place at Prikið Kaffihús. A bar employee identified Miller as the person in the video. Miller’s representative later said the actions were a “spontaneous reaction” caused by teenagers taunting them, and that Miller did not strangle the woman but “went at her collarbone.”

Miller also faced multiple incidents in Hawaii in 2022.

In addition, Miller’s relationship with activist Tokata Iron Eyes sparked legal scrutiny. In June 2022, Iron Eyes’ parents obtained a temporary order of protection, alleging Miller used “violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and dr***” to influence their child.

While some claims were contested by Iron Eyes and later withdrawn by her parents, the relationship drew criticism due to Miller’s statements about being a messianic figure for Native Americans, despite having no Indigenous ancestry.

Further harassment allegations surfaced in Massachusetts in 2022. A mother and her 12-year-old child claimed Miller threatened and behaved inappropriately toward them. No criminal charges were filed, and the temporary order was lifted on June 30, 2023. Miller’s attorney stated that all interactions were brief, supervised, and initiated by the child’s mother.

Despite these controversies, Miller remains a high-profile figure in Hollywood, and their candid comment about the challenges of acting highlights how even success comes with intense pressures.
