Hailee Steinfeld Eager to Reprise Kate Bishop Role in MCU: āIām Waiting by the Phone’
Hailee Steinfeld recently appeared on the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast to talk about her latest projects and reflect on her career.
She discussed her role in Sinners, one of this yearās major hits and a strong awards contender. Steinfeld also looked back on her first Oscar nomination 15 years ago for True Grit and shared updates on her voice work in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Marvel fans are especially interested in her potential return as Kate Bishop, a fan-favorite character.
Steinfeld addressed rumors sparked by a mysterious IMDb listing for a project called Champions. āI saw that! Youāre telling me anyone can just update IMDb now? Because part of me was like, āIs this someone random just throwing stuff out? Or someone who knows something?āā she said.
Regarding her involvement with Marvel, Steinfeld was clear she is open and ready. āIām always waiting by the phone. I love that family. Iām so grateful to be a part of it. Anytime they need me, they know where to find me,ā she shared.
Steinfeld also spoke about her return as Gwen Stacy in the animated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. She described the recording process as evolving and dynamic. āYou never get the full script at the top. It evolves. And that makes it so crazy and fun to be a part of,ā she said, adding that she has recorded many different versions of lines for the character.
