NYCC 2025: Daredevil and Jessica Jones Stars Reveal ‘Daredevil Born Again’ Season 2 Details
At New York Comic Con 2025, the cast of Daredevil: Born Again gave fans a first look at the upcoming second season. During Marvel Television’s panel, Charlie Cox shared what’s in store for Matt Murdock as he faces off against Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, in a fight that could decide the future of New York City.
“[Matt and Fisk] made a pact at the beginning of season 1, which was one of the great scenes we shot in that season,” Cox told the audience. “By the time we get to season 2, that deal is off the table. All bets are off. The world has changed a lot for Matt and Super Heroes in general. It’s a much more sinister world for people who are trying to do the right thing.”
Despite the tension between their characters, Cox said he and Vincent D’Onofrio are close friends off-screen. “Shockingly, Vincent and I are very good friends off screen,” he joked. “So the longer we get to keep making [this show] the better.”
Krysten Ritter also appeared at the panel, confirming she will return as Jessica Jones. Ritter shared her excitement about stepping back into the role six years after her original series ended. “It was surreal but also as if no time had passed,” she said. “I love Charlie so much as a person. I love being with him and acting with him, and I love playing these characters. It felt big and celebratory and larger than life.”
The two actors also talked about their on-screen chemistry and playful banter. “It’s so exciting to have Kristen back and to have JJ in the show,” Cox said. “But as soon as I read that, I was like, ‘Great, there’s going to be a lot of snarky comments about Daredevil and his ears or whatever.’”
“Oh yeah, any time we get a chance to improvise, I’m going to make fun of Charlie,” Ritter added with a laugh.

During the panel, the duo also revealed that a third season of Daredevil: Born Again is already in development. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Disney+ in March 2026.
With the return of Jessica Jones and the continuation of Matt and Fisk’s intense rivalry, the next season promises plenty of action, drama, and humor. It’s shaping up to be a must-watch for Marvel fans.
