Shocking Twist on ‘Ghost Adventures’: Aaron Goodwin Confronts Wife’s Murder Plot on Camera
A new episode of “Ghost Adventures” captured the shocking moment host Aaron Goodwin learned that his wife had been arrested for plotting to have him killed.
The episode, which aired Wednesday on Discovery+, shows Goodwin receiving a call from the police while filming inside the abandoned Hollydale Mental Hospital in Downey, California, in March.
In the clip obtained by TMZ, Goodwin can be seen looking at his phone in disbelief. “Hold on one second,” he says before stepping aside to answer the call. Cast member Jay Wasley asks, “You alright, you ok?” Goodwin replies, “Bro, the police are at my house… I gotta go outside,” and quickly leaves the dark building. The show limited the footage out of respect for him.
Goodwin soon learned that his 32-year-old wife, Victoria Goodwin, had been arrested on charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Authorities said she had hired a hitman to kill him, according to TMZ.
In the months leading up to the plot, Victoria had been involved with several men, including convicted killer Grant Amato. Aaron revealed during Victoria’s sentencing in June that she had contacted Amato, who is serving a life sentence for killing his family, through a pen-pal arrangement after appearing in the documentary “Ctrl+Alt+Desire.”
Police reported that Victoria had been messaging Amato since October 2024, writing things like, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.” She allegedly offered $11,515 for the hit and gave information about Aaron’s location to Amato to pass to the hitman. The plan was discovered when corrections officers seized Amato’s phone as contraband.
After the plot came to light, Aaron filed for divorce. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, he said he would not be watching the episode, explaining, “I won’t be watching this episode cause I don’t want to relive that night again & what happened before the call. This lockdown is insane & disturbing with what happened during our investigation.”
Victoria Goodwin was found guilty and sentenced to a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 90 months in a Nevada prison.
Personally, I think this is an extremely disturbing story, and it’s understandable why Aaron doesn’t want to watch the episode. What do you think about this shocking turn of events on “Ghost Adventures”? Share your thoughts in the comments.
