‘Percy Jackson’ Season 2: New Look at Percy, Annabeth, Sally and Other Characters Released
Disney+ has released a first look at Percy, Annabeth, and Sally in the upcoming second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The new season, adapting the second book The Sea of Monsters, is set to premiere on December 10.

The story picks up a year after the first season. Percy returns to Camp Half-Blood to find it threatened by the forces of Kronos. His friend Grover has gone missing, and Percy must journey into the Sea of Monsters to recover the Golden Fleece.
The series was renewed for a second season in February 2024, and before it even premieres, Disney+ confirmed a third season in March, which will adapt The Titan’s Curse. Albert Kim joined as a new executive producer for season two in April 2024. Writing for season two began in March 2023, while work on season three started by late February of this year.
Filming for the second season took place in Vancouver, starting on August 1, 2024, and wrapping up on January 31. The production promises more adventure and challenges for Percy and his friends, along with deeper exploration of characters like Chiron and his disability in future seasons.
The new images give fans an exciting glimpse at the main characters and hint at the adventures ahead. Percy, Annabeth, and Sally look ready to face new threats and magical challenges as the story continues to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life.
