Cardi B has spoken out against people who supported Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, especially those struggling financially who believed he would help improve their situation.

During an Instagram Live session over the weekend, the rapper didn’t hold back her thoughts. “Donald Trump was never for y’all poor mother****,” she said. She made it clear that her message wasn’t aimed at one specific group but at anyone who thought Trump cared about the working class.

“Donald Trump was never for the poor people. For the white poors, for the Black poors, for the Spanish poors, for the Asians, for the Indians. He don’t give a f*** about none of y’all mother*****,” Cardi continued. “To him, even millionaires are poor.”

Cardi’s comments came shortly after news broke that the USDA would not be sending out Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program checks on November 1. The memo, which surfaced on October 24, stated that around $5 billion in emergency funds would not be used to support the program as the government shutdown continues. This program, known as SNAP, provides food assistance to about 40 million Americans.

Cardi also criticized Trump’s immigration stance, accusing him of blaming immigrants for the country’s problems instead of addressing deeper economic issues. “Now, Donald Trump was blaming the immigrants for America’s downfall,” she said. “Like, I do understand if a country wants to enforce more strict immigration laws. I understand that. However, he was using that as an excuse for the issues that we have in this country, in this economy.”

She then questioned Trump’s claims after deporting large numbers of immigrants. “Now, how many f***** immigrants has he deported? He has deported so many people. So, now the immigrants are deported, who are we blaming for the fact that we are practically going into a recession? We don’t even have food stamps,” she said.

Cardi B has always been outspoken about politics, but her latest comments show her frustration with how economic struggles and political choices continue to affect everyday Americans. Whether people agree with her or not, she isn’t afraid to call things as she sees them.
