Comedian Nikki Glaser took over as host of Saturday Night Live this weekend, and she didn’t waste a second jumping into risky territory.

During her opening monologue, Glaser delivered a string of jokes about politics, health, and scandal, with President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Jeffrey Epstein all finding themselves in her comedic crosshairs. The episode aired on NBC and quickly caught attention online.

Glaser started off by talking about her spray tan, which turned into a playful comparison to Trump’s famously orange complexion. “There’s so many pasty white girls who are terrified to get spray tans, ‘I’m going to look orange!’ Believe me, I promise you, it’s better than what you are, OK? Don’t be scared,” she said.

She then added, “They’re always like ‘I’m going to look like Trump!’ B***, that’s why he won! Yeah, he picked an insane shade, he went pretty dark. He didn’t go Kamala, but he picked a shade that half of America was like, OK, we can still tell he’s white.”

Her jokes kept rolling as she commented on the absurdity of people changing their skin tone. “It is kind of insane that white people can just paint their skin a different color and they’re like, ‘This is cool, right?’ I feel like that’s cultural appropriation. I don’t know. I mean, it’s not blackface, but it is Guatemalan leg,” she said, getting loud laughs from the audience.

“The comedian” didn’t stop at politics. She also poked fun at herself, imagining a future where years of using spray tan could cause health problems.

“I really want to be on the commercials for the class action lawsuit… It’ll be like me and Snooki, talking through our trachs, RFK Junior’ing out,” Glaser joked, referencing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “He’s got tan lung. I mean, he’s stage two, I don’t know. I’m no health expert, but neither is he.”

Glaser then shifted gears to another controversial figure, making fun of New York City by calling it “Epstein’s original island.” She even poked fun at herself, saying her friends once told her she has “resting Ghislaine face,” a reference to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted associate.

The episode also included sketches that tied into her jokes. The show’s cold open featured Trump and RFK Jr. in a parody of a recent White House incident, where a pharmaceutical executive fainted in front of the former president. Trump was shown standing still while RFK Jr. ran away, “like someone was trying to give him a vaccine.”

The story of Glaser’s debut and her sharp monologue was first reported by Saturday Night Live and covered by several entertainment outlets afterward.
