Lizzy Caplan’s potential return to the “Now You See Me” franchise sparked excitement at the New York City premiere of the third film.

On November 10, Caplan joined her co-stars at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers for the world premiere of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. While she has not been officially confirmed for the movie, her presence on the red carpet alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco got fans talking.

Caplan previously appeared in Now You See Me 2, stepping in during Isla Fisher’s absence. Fisher, who returns for the third installment, also attended the premiere along with other cast members including Morgan Freeman, Rosamund Pike, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, Justice Smith, and director Ruben Fleischer.

In February, Caplan remained vague about her role in the upcoming film. Speaking with ScreenRant, she admitted she had no idea production had wrapped.

Eisenberg later hinted at surprise appearances in the film when speaking to Entertainment Weekly in September, saying, “The surprise appearances in the movie are just as much fun as they are surprising. These are not boring appearances. It’s the best kind of shock because it’s a surprise but also done in such an unusual way.”

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is the third installment in the heist-magic series, directed by Ruben Fleischer with a screenplay by Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Seth Grahame-Smith, based on a story by Lesslie and Eric Warren Singer. The film follows the Four Horsemen as they team up with three new illusionists to steal the world’s largest queen diamond from a dangerous crime family.

Returning stars include Eisenberg as J. Daniel “Danny” Atlas, Harrelson as Merritt McKinney, Franco as Jack Wilder, Fisher as Henley Reeves, and Freeman as Thaddeus Bradley. New faces joining the cast are Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike, who plays the main antagonist, Veronika Vanderberg. Mark Ruffalo also reprises his role as Dylan Rhodes, the grandmaster of the Eye. The film is scheduled for release in the United States on November 14, through Lionsgate.

The presence of Lizzy Caplan at the premiere has left fans speculating whether her character Lula May will return, adding an element of mystery and excitement to the release.
