New ‘Stranger Things 5’ Clip Shows Eleven Ready to Battle Vecna

Netflix has released a new clip from Stranger Things showing Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) training with Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) as they prepare for what could be the final showdown with Vecna, the series’ main villain.

The footage hints at the high stakes and intense battles fans can expect in the upcoming season.

The fifth season, which will also be the final season, is set to stream on Netflix later this year.

It will have eight episodes and will be released in three parts: the first two volumes on November 26 and December 25, and the series finale on December 31. The season is produced by series creators the Duffer Brothers, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.

Most of the main cast will return, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower. Amybeth McNulty, who appeared as a guest last season, has been promoted to the main cast. New cast members include Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton.

The story takes place a year after the events of season four, in the fall of 1987. The group is focused on stopping Vecna after the Rifts opened in Hawkins. Their mission becomes more dangerous when the military arrives in town and starts hunting Eleven. With the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance approaching, the friends face one last chance to fight against a deadly threat.
