U.S. President Donald Trump has restarted his fight with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, calling on ABC to pull him off television. The latest push came after Trump posted a message on his Truth Social page attacking Kimmel’s work and ratings.

In his post, Trump said, “Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!”

Trump’s comment was a reaction to a recent monologue in which Kimmel joked that Trump “loses his mind” whenever he is asked why he did not release the Jeffrey Epstein files while in office.

ABC News had also pressed Trump on the same question earlier in the week, which led him to lash out at the network and even suggest their broadcast license should be taken away. Soon after that exchange, Congress voted to release the full set of Epstein-related government documents, and Trump later signed the bill.

The clash between Trump and Kimmel comes after months of tension. ABC previously paused Kimmel’s show for a short time following remarks he made after the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel returned to the show not long after and addressed the situation on air. His comments at the time included jokes about how some political figures reacted to the shooter’s reported beliefs, which sparked anger from some conservative groups.

Their feud did not start this week or with Kirk. In July, Trump celebrated news that Stephen Colbert’s late-night show was ending and suggested Kimmel could be next.

In another post, he wrote, “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.”

Kimmel has continued to mention Trump regularly in his opening segments, often using him as material for jokes.
