Cole Sprouse has spoken before about what it was like to work on Friends as a child, and one of the things he remembered most was acting alongside Jennifer Aniston.

Sprouse joined the show when he was very young, playing Ben, the son of Ross Geller. Even though he appeared in only a few episodes, the role left a strong mark on fans, and his time on set left a strong memory for him too.

Years later, in an interview with the New York Post, Sprouse admitted that being around Aniston was not easy for him.

He explained that he had a huge crush on her and it made filming tough. “I was infatuated,” he said. He shared that he struggled to speak around her, often forgetting his lines because he felt nervous. “I was speechless — I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank … It was so difficult.”

Even with those challenges, Sprouse said being part of the show was still a great experience. He remembered the cast treating him kindly, even though he was working with actors who were already extremely famous at the time. He described the set as a big and overwhelming place for a young kid but also said it was exciting to be there.

During that same interview, Sprouse also mentioned that he hadn’t stayed in touch with the cast members after the show. He joked that he looks very different now, so they might not recognize him if they ran into him. He added that if he did look the same as he did back then, “that’d be a little disconcerting.”

Sprouse has also talked in the past about the tougher side of growing up as a child actor, saying that the attention and pressure at a young age affected him and shaped how he sees fame today.
