Dead by Daylight Introduces Vecna: Here’s All the Details You Need
Behaviour Interactive has announced that Dead by Daylight will return to Hawkins, Indiana, with the highly anticipated Stranger Things: Chapter 2, coming this January. The reveal came through the studio’s official social media channels, alongside a short teaser video introducing the new Killer, Vecna.
Fans have speculated for months about what the next Stranger Things crossover would bring, and Behaviour has now confirmed that the dark universe of Hawkins will expand inside the Fog.
The teaser shows flickering lights, eerie sounds from the Upside Down, and a shadowy figure unmistakably belonging to Vecna, the sinister villain from the later seasons of the Netflix series. This will be the second collaboration between Behaviour Interactive and Netflix, following the success of the first Stranger Things chapter in Dead by Daylight.

Vecna’s introduction promises to bring a new level of psychological horror to the game. While the studio hasn’t revealed his full set of abilities, early hints suggest a focus on mental manipulation, supernatural influence, and environment-based threats. Players are already speculating that his powers could include psychic paralysis, telekinetic traps, or hallucination-driven fear effects. The teaser’s distorted visuals and audio seem to support these theories.
This chapter could mark a major step forward for Dead by Daylight, combining iconic Stranger Things horror with the game’s tense, survival-driven gameplay. I think Vecna’s arrival will bring fresh challenges and a darker, more immersive experience for players.
