‘Euphoria’ Season 3: Premiere Date Announced Along with a New Look at the Show – Cassie & Nate’s Big Wedding Confirmed
Euphoria is finally coming back. HBO announced that the third season of Sam Levinson’s popular teen drama will premiere in April 2026. Fans have been waiting since the second season ended in February 2022.
Season 3 will include a major time jump. Levinson said during an HBO Max presentation in London, according to Variety, “Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college they’d be out of college at that time.”
He added that the story will start with Rue, played by Zendaya, “south of the border in Mexico, in debt to [drug dealer] Laurie [Martha Kelly], trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off.”
The new season will also feature a big wedding. Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) have stayed together since high school and will get married.
Levinson said, “Cassie is living in the suburbs with Nate, they’re engaged, and she’s very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time. I will say that Cassie and Nate do in fact get married. I’m confirming it. And I promise that it will be an unforgettable night.”
Other characters’ lives have changed as well. Jules (Hunter Schafer) “is in art school, very nervous about having a career as a painter, and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs.” Maddy (Alexa Demie) is now “working in Hollywood at a talent agency for a manager, she’s obviously got her own side hustles going.”
Lexi (Maude Apatow) is working as an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, whom Levinson described as “absolutely delightful and a true icon.”

Most of the original cast will return, including Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Chloe Cherry, Dominic Fike, and Nika King. New cast members include Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Marshawn Lynch, and Sam Trammell. Some past stars will not return. Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez, said goodbye to her character, and the late Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, passed away in July 2023.
Jacob Elordi spoke about his character Nate, saying that his main focus this season is survival. “It’s a real treat to be a part of that show, and to play the quote-unquote bad guy,” he said. “It’s always more fun. You don’t wanna play some morally superior, world-saving loser.”
