Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World are joining together for something they have never done before. The two companies are creating a new original holiday movie that will be filmed right inside Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

The film is called “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,” and the cast is led by Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle. Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander are also part of the movie, with Patrick Renna appearing in a cameo.

The project was announced during “The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday,” which aired after Chabert’s recent film “She’s Making A List.” Hallmark confirmed that this new movie will be part of the network’s 2026 Countdown to Christmas lineup. Ryan Landels is both writing and directing the film.

According to Hallmark, the story follows Lindsey, played by Chabert, as she heads to Walt Disney World with her family to enjoy Christmas together. The plot takes a turn when she finds out that her hotel room sits right next to Philip, played by Van Winkle, who was a first date that went badly.

Throughout the trip, the two run into each other again and again, and their initial tension begins to fade. The official logline explains, “Lindsey and her extended family head to Walt Disney World to spend a magical Christmas together. But the dream of a jolly holiday gets quickly dashed when Lindsey discovers her room is next door to Philip, a disastrous first date she recently had… Thanks to some Walt Disney World magic, the holiday wish Lindsey made in Cinderella Fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance.”

Darren Abbott, Hallmark’s chief brand officer, shared the long history between the two companies. He said, “The history between Hallmark and Disney dates back decades, when a shared Kansas City connection and friendship between Hallmark’s founder, J.C. Hall, and Walt Disney himself led to our first-ever licensed products, including the very first greeting card featuring Mickey Mouse. We’re thrilled to expand our partnership beyond the products we create together and onto the screen with this heartwarming and joyful Christmas movie that embodies the very best of both brands.”

Disney’s vp of global content, Sally Conner, talked about why the partnership makes sense. She said, “Storytelling is at the heart of both Disney and Hallmark, and that magic shines even brighter during the holidays. We’re thrilled that Walt Disney World will serve as the immersive setting for a Hallmark holiday movie… This film is a wonderful way to share that joy and pixie dust with fans everywhere.”

Hallmark and Disney also plan to release special items connected to the movie next holiday season. The companies said fans can expect greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and gift wrap based on the film.
