Margot Robbie Stuns in the Most Elegant Dress of the Holiday Season
Margot Robbie turned heads at a star-studded gala in London, looking effortlessly elegant in a black asymmetrical gown.
She attended the War Child charity dinner at the Royal Horticultural Halls on Thursday evening, where she paired her off-the-shoulder dress with a chic black winter coat draped over her shoulders. The dress exposed her right arm and collarbone, giving a simple yet striking nod to Old Hollywood glamour.
Robbie kept her accessories minimal, skipping a necklace and opting for statement earrings, sparkly Aquazzura heels, and a white shoulder bag.
The overall look was understated and sophisticated, standing out amid the more flamboyant holiday outfits that evening. According to British Vogue, “The little sliver of skin says it all without saying anything at all.”
Other stars at the gala included Oscar winner Olivia Colman, 51, who arrived in a bold leopard print coat alongside her husband Ed Sinclair, and Gillian Anderson, 57, Robbie’s The Crown co-star, who wore an emerald green velvet dress layered with a faux-fur trimmed coat.
War Child, the charity hosting the gala, works to protect and educate children affected by conflict, advocating for their rights in war-torn areas from Gaza to Sudan.
Robbie’s appearance comes as she prepares for the release of Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights.
She will star as Cathy opposite Jacob Elordi’s Heathcliff. The film has already sparked attention due to its portrayal of Cathy and the casting choices for Heathcliff.
Robbie told British Vogue that, despite some audience expectations for highly steamy scenes, “some of the more tender moments with Jacob made me weak at the knees.” She also spoke about returning to work just three months after giving birth to her son with husband Tom Ackerley, noting that director Fennell helped “relieve her anxiety” during filming.
