Jimmy Kimmel Says Trump Acts Like a Toddler and Lists Why
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel took aim at President Donald Trump over his plan to host a UFC fight on the White House lawn. The event is scheduled for June 14, 2026, which also happens to be Trump’s 80th birthday. Kimmel criticized the idea on his show, calling Trump a “child” for wanting such an unusual birthday celebration.
“Whose 80th birthday theme is inviting men to beat the c**** out of each other on his lawn? The most miserable son of a b**** in the world, that’s who,” Kimmel said.
The late-night host noted that UFC weigh-ins will take place at the Lincoln Memorial, and he questioned the contrast between people defending the flag and being fine with fighters in their underwear at such a historic site. “But it’s his birthday, he has to have a party for his birthday. What a child he is. Everyone around him treats him like he’s three years old,” Kimmel added.
Kimmel and Trump have a history of public clashes. In September, Kimmel was suspended from ABC for six days after threats from Trump’s Federal Communications Commission Chair. Since returning, Kimmel has continued to call out Trump on his show. His contract has been renewed through the 2026-2027 season.
Trump revealed details about the UFC fight at the Kennedy Center Honors, saying a 5,000-seat arena is being built for the event. UFC CEO Dana White first confirmed the fight back in September on social media, calling it “The White House fight.”
Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, who has a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, is reportedly involved in the planning. Trump has been a long-time UFC fan and has worked with White since hosting UFC fights at his Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City in the early 2000s.
Trump said the date was not chosen to match his birthday. “It’ll be on Sunday night, June 14, [on] Flag Day. It happens to be my birthday, but I didn’t do it for that reason. ‘Sir, we like the June 14 date.’ I said, ‘Yeah, that’s my birthday,’” he explained.

Kimmel joked that Trump behaves like a toddler and listed his “childish” habits. “He needs a lot of attention, so they let him have a press conference every day. He needs immediate gratification; they give him a Diet Coke button. He gets constant praise for nothing: ‘Oh, you did so good! Look how big you are! Your MRI is perfect!’”
“He takes nap time often in the middle of a meeting. They order him McDonald’s. He gets ice cream after dinner every night. He loves to use a Sharpie when he’s not supposed to. He wants to hear the same two songs over and over again. And he wears diapers. He’s 3 years old,” Kimmel said. He added jokingly, “If we could just get him to start watching CoComelon instead of Newsmax, problem solved.”
