Fans Spot Three Home Alone Mistakes They Say “Ruin Christmas”
Fans of the classic holiday movie Home Alone have noticed a few mistakes in the film that they say are big enough to “ruin Christmas.”
TikToker @1minutecritic recently pointed out three errors in the movie, which has been a holiday favorite for decades. The first mistake happens in a small scene where a child annoys a van driver. When the driver tells him, “gee kid I dunno, hit the road,” a close-up shows the child mouthing the line instead of actually saying it.
Another noticeable error occurs during Kevin McCallister’s famous sledding scene. A shot looking down the staircase shows that the stairs don’t line up with the front door, but Kevin still manages to fly out of the house. Fans also spotted the sled’s wheels visible as it soars through the air, breaking the illusion of the stunt.
The third mistake involves continuity. Kevin’s pants change color multiple times in the film. He starts wearing dark pants, switches to blue jeans when he returns home, and then his pants change back again while he sets another trap.
Despite highlighting these errors, the TikToker made it clear that they still love the movie. Social media users shared their reactions, with some writing, “This movie can have 1000 flaws and I’d still love it,” while others joked, “Christmas ruined. Thanks man.”
