Kate Hudson celebrated a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Song Sung Blue in a stunning combination. The news comes less than a week after the film’s Milwaukee premiere. Hudson stars alongside Hugh Jackman in the movie, which tells the true story of Claire and Mike Sardina, a Milwaukee couple who perform a Neil Diamond and Patsy Cline tribute act called Lightning & Thunder. The film is based on a 2008 documentary about the duo.

Her style at recent events has also caught attention, with Hudson showing off leather pants and a see-through top, proving she knows how to celebrate in fashion as well as on screen.

Hudson’s nomination is for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. This isn’t her first nomination in this category; she was also nominated in 2021 for Music. She won her first and only Golden Globe in 2001 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Almost Famous.

In the new film, Hudson plays Claire Sardina while Jackman portrays her husband, Mike. Jackman recently showed his support for Hudson on Instagram, posting a photo of the two in Wisconsin Badgers crewnecks from a movie promo. “This is so richly deserved! I’m so proud of you and our film,” he wrote, celebrating her achievement.

Hudson faces strong competition this year, including Cynthia Erivo for Wicked: For Good, Emma Stone for Bugonia, Amanda Seyfried for The Testament of Ann Lee, Chase Infiniti for One Battle After Another, and Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.
