David Harbour Keeps Close Ties with ‘Madeline’ Amid Lily Allen Drama
David Harbour and Lily Allen’s breakup continues to make headlines, especially after the revelation of the real-life “Madeline.” The Stranger Things actor, 50, reportedly had a three-year affair, which singer Lily Allen, 40, referenced in her 14-track breakup album, West End Girl.
In the songs, Lily addresses the woman involved, later revealed to be Natalie Tippett.
Natalie has strongly denied the affair, telling fans in an Instagram statement, “I did not have a three year affair with anyone. I’m unsure why this person wants so badly to pit people against me or create this narrative that we both know is false based on the actual messages that I have saved between us.”
Despite the public attention, Natalie and David remain connected on social media, still following each other on Instagram.
Natalie shared her side in a series of posts after Lily’s performance on Saturday Night Live. She expressed feeling “extremely violated” by how she was portrayed in the songs. She wrote, “I was hoping not to speak on this, but I am tired of this false narrative being pushed and circulated.”
Natalie added that the situation, once a minor part of her life, has now caused major disruption: “The same ones that have now been referenced in a song without my consent.” She also clarified, “I don’t weaponise women against women for the behaviour of men, especially not in an open relationship. I’m wishing her all the success, money, healing and happiness and whatever else she’s seeking through this.”
The track “Madeline” directly addresses the alleged woman in the affair. In the song, Lily asks, “How long has it been going on? Is it just s** or is there emotion?” Another track, “Tennis,” references the situation again: “So I read your text, and now I regret it. I can’t get my head round how you’ve been playing tennis. If it was just s** I wouldn’t be jealous. You won’t play with me and who the f***** is Madeline?”
David Harbour has not publicly commented on Lily’s claims or Natalie’s response. Meanwhile, Natalie continues to assert her innocence and hopes the narrative will not affect her personal life as a single mother
