Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes has revealed the secret behind her recent weight loss of nearly 30 pounds. The actress, known for shows like “The Amanda Show” and movies like “She’s the Man,” shared a recent paparazzi photo of herself on Instagram Stories, expressing how surprised and happy she was with the results.

Bynes told her 600,000 Instagram followers, “I usually don’t like paparazzi pictures [because] I was 180lbs, but now I’ve lost 28lbs on Ozempic!” She added, “I’m down to 152lbs. I know I still look big, but this photo is really inspiring to me!”

This isn’t the first time Bynes has spoken openly about her weight-loss journey. Earlier in 2025, she announced on social media that she planned to use Ozempic to reach her goals. She said at the time, “Oh, I’m going on Ozempic. So excited. I’m 173 now, so I hope to get down to like 130, which would be awesome, so I look better in paparazzi pictures.”

Over the past year, Bynes has also experimented with new hairstyles and cosmetic procedures. In August, she shared her excitement about new lip fillers, and earlier, she revealed a new set of grillz after deciding she could no longer wear tooth gems due to her veneers. “I can’t wear tooth gems because I have veneers; they don’t stick on my teeth, so this is my way of having tooth gems,” she explained.

Bynes has had a turbulent past, including legal and personal struggles following a DUI charge in 2012. She has occasionally caused public concern with her social media activity and decision-making. Most recently, in November, she addressed false claims online suggesting she had been impregnated by her former Nickelodeon boss, Dan Schneider. According to The Blast, she urged her followers not to believe the “lies” and stated she had contacted social media platforms for assistance.
