A new Christmas-themed teaser for Scream 7 has surfaced online, teasing fans with the chilling caption, “I like what you did with the house, Sidney.” The upcoming slasher film is set to continue the iconic horror franchise, following a new Ghostface killer targeting Sidney Prescott’s daughter.

Scream 7 is directed by Kevin Williamson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Guy Busick based on a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick.

The film brings back familiar faces including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mason Gooding, alongside newcomers Isabel May, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.

The movie went through several changes during production. Originally, Christopher Landon was set to direct after the departure of Scream (2022) and Scream VI directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett in August 2023.

However, after creative shifts and the exit of stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, Landon also left the project. In March 2024, Neve Campbell confirmed her return to the series after missing Scream VI, with Williamson taking over directing duties.

Filming for Scream 7 started in January 2025 in the United States and wrapped by March. During the premiere of Scream VI, co-director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin reflected on the series’ legacy, saying, “We want to be watching Scream movies whether we’re involved or not for the rest of our lives.”

Scream 7 is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on February 27, 2026, through Paramount Pictures. The new teaser has already sparked excitement among fans, hinting that Sidney Prescott’s story, and the terror of Ghostface, will continue in unexpected ways.
