The Inside the NBA crew brought their usual chaos to the Christmas Day halftime show, proving that their chemistry hasn’t missed a beat despite moving to a new network. During the New York Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith added a festive twist that quickly went viral online.

The moment started when Smith teased Shaq by tugging at his holiday hat, triggering their well-known “race to the big board.” As the two sprinted across the set, Shaq’s 325-pound frame couldn’t stop in time. He crashed into the massive video screen, sending it toppling backward and seemingly smashing the high-tech equipment.

Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson couldn’t contain their laughter as Shaq disappeared behind the falling screen. But the surprise came when Shaq popped out of the wreckage completely unharmed. A co-host pointed out the safety precautions, yelling, “Look at the cushion back there. It was already there, Shaq.”

Later, Shaq explained that the staged mishap was all part of the holiday fun. “We’re a family. I’m glad we’re sticking together,” he said about the show’s transition to ESPN. He added with his signature humor, “To that new network we’re coming to, we not coming to eff around.”

The clip has since taken social media by storm, reminding fans that even after years on air, the crew’s playful antics remain a highlight of the basketball broadcast.
