Sam Raimi is back with a new survival thriller titled Send Help, starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien.

The film follows two colleagues, McAdams’ Linda Liddle and O’Brien’s Bradley Preston, who are stranded on a deserted island after surviving a plane crash. As they fight to stay alive, tensions rise and their survival depends on overcoming past conflicts.

The movie is written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift and is set to hit U.S. theaters on January 30, 2026, through 20th Century Studios. Screenrant recently released a new image from the film, giving fans their first glimpse of McAdams and O’Brien on the island.

Production on Send Help began in February and wrapped in April, with filming taking place across Sydney, Los Angeles, and Thailand. The cast also includes Dennis Haysbert, Chris Pang, Xavier Samuel, Emma Raimi, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, and Edyll Ismail.

20th Century Studios describes the story as “an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.” The plot centers on how the two survivors navigate the challenges of the island while dealing with their complicated relationship.

Rachel McAdams joined the project in late 2024, and Dylan O’Brien came on board in early 2025. The film’s director, Sam Raimi, is known for his work on iconic horror and thriller movies, and fans are eager to see how he handles this survival story with a mix of tension and dark humor.
