Disney and ABC have given fans their first real look at the upcoming “The Muppet Show” special. The trailer premiered during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, teasing what’s to come when the show officially launches on February 4 on Disney+ and ABC.

The special will feature Sabrina Carpenter as a guest star, joining Kermit, Piggy, and the rest of the Muppet gang. Before the trailer aired, ABC, Disney, and The Muppets shared a teaser tagline, “New year, same diva,” hinting at a fresh take on the beloved franchise.

During the New Year’s Eve broadcast, Kermit and Piggy appeared to give a short holiday greeting and promoted the upcoming special. Later in the program, the first full promo for the show debuted, offering fans a better sense of what to expect.

So far, only low-quality recordings of the trailer have circulated online, as no official high-definition version has been released yet. But the teaser gives viewers a glimpse of the humor and charm the Muppets are known for.

“It’s officially 2026! That means it’s finally the year we get to see the new Muppet Show special featuring Sabrina Carpenter,” wrote Variety, noting the excitement surrounding the release.

The special will premiere on February 4 on Disney+ and ABC, bringing the Muppets back into the spotlight for a new generation of viewers.
