Miley Cyrus Hints at Big Plans for the 20th Anniversary of ‘Hannah Montana’
Miley Cyrus is already thinking ahead to a big milestone from her past. While attending the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards, the singer hinted that something special is being planned for the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana.
Cyrus spoke briefly with Variety on the red carpet, where she was asked about the upcoming anniversary of the Disney Channel series. Instead of giving details, she pointed to her hairstyle and joked, “You see the bangs.” When pressed for more information, she stayed quiet but added, “We’re working hard on ’em.” The comments were shared by Variety.

The 33-year-old artist was at the event to receive the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her song “Dream As One,” which appears in the film Avatar: Fire and Ash. For the night, she wore a black suit with a deep neckline and sunglasses, but fans quickly noticed that her hair looked similar to her early Hannah Montana days. Her blonde waves and updated bangs sparked talk online, with many seeing it as a nod to her Disney past.
Hannah Montana first aired in 2006 and became a major part of Cyrus’ career. The show followed her double life as a normal teen and a famous pop star and ran until 2011. Even years later, the character still has a strong fan base.
Cyrus has made it clear that the anniversary matters to her. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, she said, “I want the fans to really feel seen.” She also explained that she feels connected to how both she and her audience have grown over the years, adding that she notices their changes just as much as they notice hers.
