The actor, known for roles in Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, has once again shared interest in taking on the iconic superhero. Ramsey confirmed this while speaking with Variety during the Critics Choice Awards 2026.

This comes months after they first spoke about the idea in an earlier interview with Variety’s Marc Malkin at the HBO Emmys nominees event.

Last summer, Ramsey was asked if they had spoken to Pedro Pascal about possibly appearing in a future Marvel movie. Pascal, who stars alongside Ramsey in The Last of Us, recently joined the MCU as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Ramsey responded with a laugh, saying “I don’t know about that. I could be Spider-Man.”

Ramsey also made it clear they respect Tom Holland’s version of the character. They acknowledged his performance and suggested Marvel might need to think differently if they ever joined the franchise. “Tom Holland did a great job though. So maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me,” Ramsey said at the time.

The actor also admitted they are still new to Marvel movies. According to Ramsey, they only started watching Marvel films recently, beginning with one of Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man movies. “It was the first time I watched a Marvel film,” they said, adding that the experience was “incredible” and that they “loved it.”

While a Marvel role may not happen right away, Ramsey has other ideas for future projects. They previously joked about wanting to reunite with Pascal in a different kind of movie. “I think maybe like a heist movie where we’re robbing a bank together,” they said.

For now, nothing is confirmed, but Ramsey’s comments at the Critics Choice Awards make it clear they haven’t ruled out swinging into the MCU anytime soon.
