Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are trading the red carpet for icy adventures. The Hollywood couple, 81 and 56 years old, recently shared a family trip to Antarctica on social media. They were joined by their two adult children, 25-year-old Dylan and 22-year-old Carys.
The family posted a photo from their journey with a simple caption: “Greetings from Antarctica!” In the picture, everyone is dressed in matching bright red parkas and black waterproof pants, wearing life vests, sunglasses, and beanies. They are seated on a Zodiac boat in front of massive glaciers and snow, ready to face the extreme cold together.
This trip comes as both children are starting to explore careers in the entertainment world. Carys told MTV in October 2025 that she is thinking about pursuing acting. She said she grew up around the theater and has a deep appreciation for the craft. She graduated from Brown University in May 2025 with a degree in film and international relations. Dylan also graduated from Brown, finishing in 2022, and is reportedly preparing to make his acting debut in a psychological thriller called I Will Come to You.
The family getaway follows a personal milestone for Douglas and Zeta-Jones. In November, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Zeta-Jones shared an emotional post on Instagram, reflecting on their wedding in 2000 and writing that she loves him “today as I did then.” Their long marriage is considered rare in Hollywood, surviving over two decades in the spotlight.
