Ashton Kutcher has built a massive fortune that rivals his Hollywood fame, proving he is far more than just a rom-com star. While many recognize him from That ’70s Show or Two and a Half Men, the actor has spent the last decade establishing himself as one of the most successful venture capitalists in the tech world.

This week, Kutcher returned to the spotlight in the FX and Disney+ series The Beauty, marking his first television appearance in three years. The dark sci-fi show, created by Ryan Murphy, sees Kutcher playing an elusive, shadowy billionaire known only as “The Corporation.” In a case of life imitating art, his character is the wealthiest man in the world, a status Kutcher is steadily approaching in reality with an estimated net worth of $200 million.

Kutcher’s financial success is rooted in his savvy business partnerships. In 2010, he teamed up with Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, and billionaire Ron Burkle to form A-Grade Investments. Starting with a $30 million fund, the group famously turned that initial investment into a staggering $250 million by backing then-unknown startups like Uber, Airbnb, and Spotify.

Reflecting on his investment philosophy, Kutcher previously shared that his goal was always to solve real-world problems rather than just chasing profits. If we don’t make a dollar, but we change the world in a meaningful way because we solve real problems and we support great people and do our best to help, the returns are going to be the exhaust of that, he noted.

His business empire has only grown since then. In 2015, he co-founded Sound Ventures, which now manages over $1 billion in assets. Despite the massive wealth he has accumulated alongside his wife, Mila Kunis, the couple has famously stated that they do not plan to leave a massive inheritance to their children, choosing instead to encourage them to build their own paths.

Beyond his recent debut in The Beauty, Kutcher has remained active in several upcoming film and television ventures. He is set to star in the dramatic film The Long Home, directed by James Franco, where he plays Nathan Winer Sr. in a story set in 1940s Tennessee. The project promises to showcase a more serious, grounded side of his acting abilities.

In The Beauty, Kutcher leads an ensemble cast that includes Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall, and Anthony Ramos. The series explores a world where a s***** transmitted drug can make people effortlessly beautiful, but with lethal consequences. Kutcher’s character serves as the mastermind behind the drug, a role he says allows him to explore a villainous flair he hasn’t often shown on screen.

Kutcher is also continuing his work behind the scenes as an executive producer for various unscripted projects. He remains a prominent voice in the tech community, frequently speaking at major conferences about the future of artificial intelligence and sustainable investing. His firm, Sound Ventures, recently closed a $240 million fund specifically dedicated to supporting AI startups like OpenAI and Anthropic.

Even with a packed professional schedule, Kutcher and Kunis remain one of Hollywood’s most private and stable couples. They recently made headlines for their lighthearted defense of their “minimalist” family hygiene habits, proving that despite their hundreds of millions, they still maintain a grounded sense of humor about their personal lives.
