Robert Pattinson Confesses He ‘100% Smelled’ Like This Bizarre Thing

Robert Pattinson has shared a pretty weird secret about his personal scent. In a fresh talk with GQ Magazine, the actor looked back on a time when he honestly believed he smelled just like a box of crayons.

He told the magazine that his body chemistry was different back then, and while he used to have a very strong smell, things have calmed down as he has gotten older.

I think that something has changed. My body chemistry has changed. It’s very strange. But I 100% used to smell exactly like a crayon, Pattinson said. He explained that as you age, you seem to become less scented. He used to notice a very particular and pronounced smell on himself, which he described as vicious before it turned into that signature crayon scent.

He has a funny theory about why his smell changed so much over the years. He joked about the idea of a seven-year cycle for the body. Maybe I was smelling of crayons when one self died, and when a new self was born, it was less scented, he wondered. Now, he says he does not smell like anything at all, even after a hard workout at the gym.

Pattinson even laughed about whether a past bout with COVID might be the reason he cannot smell himself anymore. He admitted that he actually did lose his sense of smell for a while and did not even notice it for months. It’s just blank! I actually did lose my sense of smell for a bit and it took me months to realize that I’d lost it. I have it back now…I think, he told the outlet.

Aside from his changing scent, Pattinson is currently one of the busiest stars in Hollywood. He has been out promoting his latest movie, Die My Love, which hit theaters in late 2025 and features him starring alongside Jennifer Lawrence.

He is also getting ready for a massive 2026. Fans can expect to see him in the A24 romance The Drama with Zendaya this April, followed by the epic Christopher Nolan film The Odyssey in July.

The actor is also making moves in some of the biggest franchises around. He is set to join the world of Arrakis as the villain Scytale in Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled for a December 2026 release.

On top of that, he is preparing to suit up again for The Batman Part II, which is expected to start filming this spring for a 2027 release date. In his personal life, he is enjoying fatherhood with his partner Suki Waterhouse and their young daughter.
