Cardi B got everyone talking at her Las Vegas show on Friday night, February 13, when she slipped off a chair while performing during her “Little Miss Drama” tour. The mishap happened at the T-Mobile Arena while she was dancing to her Thotiana remix. The chair slid out from under her, and the 33-year-old rapper hit the floor in front of a full crowd.

True to form, Cardi didn’t skip a beat. She kept performing and even made a joke about the fall, telling fans, “That wasn’t me, that was the government!” before finishing the set with her usual high energy. Clips of the moment went viral on X, where Cardi also poked fun at herself, posting, “Can someone put a community note on this? This video is clearly AI.”

Fans were quick to share the video, impressed by her quick recovery and sense of humor. The fall comes after a dramatic week for Cardi online. Earlier in the tour, she had a heated exchange with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security after joking at the tour opener about “jumping” ICE agents to protect her fans. DHS responded with a pointed remark referencing her past, prompting Cardi to fire back, “If we talking about drugs let’s talk about Epstein and friends drugging underage girls to r** them.” Her post quickly gained hundreds of thousands of likes.

This tour marks Cardi B’s first major headlining arena tour in six years, supporting her 2025 album Am I the Drama?. She is performing across more than 30 cities in North America, including Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto.

Outside the music world, Cardi has been balancing a busy personal life. She welcomed her fourth child in late 2025 and has also been expanding her work in entertainment. She is set to appear in a new comedy film later this year, which she is also executive producing. Cardi has hinted at a third studio album, expected before the end of 2026. She recently told fans during an X Spaces chat that she is entering a new era, wanting her music to reflect her growth as both a mother and a businesswoman.

Even with falls on stage or social media spats with government agencies, Cardi B continues to prove why she is one of pop culture’s most unpredictable and entertaining figures. Her Las Vegas tumble showed fans that no mishap can stop her energy—or her sense of humor.

Do you think Cardi B’s joke about the government was just funny banter, or was she making a bigger statement? Share your thoughts in the comments.
