Jasmin Savoy Brown, 31, and Courteney Cox, 61, Light Up the Red Carpet at the ‘Scream 7’ Premiere
At the recent world premiere of Scream 7 in Hollywood, the red carpet was full of stars from the franchise’s past and present. One pairing caught everyone’s attention: Jasmin Savoy Brown and Courteney Cox.
Fans were excited to see the two actresses together, representing the old and new generations of the series.
Brown has become a familiar face in the franchise since her debut in 2022, returning again as Mindy Meeks-Martin. Outside of Scream, she stars as Taissa Turner in the hit series Yellowjackets and is set to appear in the indie thriller Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, slated for a late 2026 release. Her return to the horror franchise cements her role as a key part of the new generation.

Cox, the only actor to appear in every Scream film, remains a cornerstone of the series as Gale Weathers. She has also expanded her work behind the camera, directing the true-crime thriller Evil Genius, which stars David Arquette, Patricia Arquette, and David Harbour. Her continued presence shows that Gale’s combination of cunning and courage remains central to the series’ identity.

The seventh film, directed by original screenwriter Kevin Williamson, follows Sidney Prescott as she works to protect her teenage daughter from a new Ghostface killer. The story moves away from the previous two installments to focus on Sidney’s new life and family secrets, giving both veteran and newer characters room to shine.
Along with Campbell, Brown, and Cox, the cast includes Mason Gooding, Isabel May, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Anna Camp, and Jimmy Tatro, with Roger L. Jackson returning as the voice of Ghostface.
Fans at the premiere were impressed by the chemistry between Brown and Cox, showing that the franchise’s mix of old and new still works. It’s great to see Mindy and Gale together again, one fan said, reflecting the excitement around the iconic characters. With Scream 7 hitting theaters on February 27, the new chapter promises a mix of suspense, humor, and the emotional depth that made the original films memorable.
Seeing the survivors from different generations together makes the series feel both fresh and nostalgic. Both Mindy and Gale have proven they can outsmart danger, but it will be interesting to see which strategy works best against the new Ghostface.
