Fran Drescher, 68, Dazzles in Showgirl Fantasy With Top Hat Tease at Actor Awards 2026

Fran Drescher made a bold entrance at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards in Los Angeles on March 1. The longtime star arrived in a dramatic look that quickly grabbed attention on the red carpet.

The 68-year-old leaned into a showgirl-inspired style for the evening. She wore a strapless black gown covered in sequins and paired it with a soft pink feather shawl. To make the look even more theatrical, she added a black top hat while keeping her hair styled in a low bun.

Her accessories carried personal meaning too. She wore antique stud earrings and a diamond Hamsa pendant, which reflects the “hand of God” in her Jewish faith.

Drescher smiled for photographers and even tipped her hat while posing outside the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, where the ceremony took place.

She was joined at the event by her former husband, Peter Marc Jacobson. The two ended their marriage in 1998 after more than two decades together, shortly before Jacobson publicly came out as gay. Even after their divorce, they have remained very close friends.

Earlier this year, Drescher joked about how often she still brings him along to public events. Speaking to People in January, she said, ‘I take [Jacobson] to everything, and I don’t really care. I have a gay ex-husband – live with it!’

She added, ‘But I’ve been with him since I was 15. Who can compete with that? And over the years, he grew tremendously. He’s not the same person. Neither one of us are who we were when we were married.’

Her appearance also came not long after leadership changes within SAG-AFTRA. Drescher chose not to run again after serving as president from 2021 to 2025. Actor Sean Astin was later elected to the role, with Drescher backing his campaign.

The awards show itself has now officially been renamed the Actor Awards, a move meant to focus on performers celebrating one another.

Drescher’s look showed confidence and personality in a way that made her stand out without trying too hard. She clearly enjoys having fun with fashion and staying true to herself.
