Dune: Part 3 is giving fans a first real look at what’s coming in the final chapter of the trilogy. According to Evolve, the teaser trailer will premiere live tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET, giving audiences an early glimpse of the story and the characters.

The studio also released the first character posters, featuring returning stars like Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, and Isaach de Bankolé, who plays Bashar of the Ninth Legion Farok.

These posters show both familiar faces and new characters, highlighting a more intense, evolved look for the film.

Chalamet shared an image of Paul Atreides showing visible facial scarring and a mask covering his mouth, signaling the character’s dramatic changes. Warner Bros. has set the film’s release for December 18, where it will go head-to-head with Avengers: Doomsday. The story is said to take place more than 10 years after the events of Dune: Part Two.

In the previous film, Paul joined the Fremen, formed a relationship with Chani, and defeated the Harkonnens. Part Two ended with him taking control and starting a holy war against the Great Houses.

Director Denis Villeneuve returns to helm the final installment, which is based on Frank Herbert’s novel Dune Messiah. Villeneuve said, “Like Herbert did with Dune: Messiah, I think it’ll be a great idea to do something completely different. The story takes place 12 years after where we left the characters at the end of Part Two.” Chalamet added, “It was for a film, for ‘Dune: Part Three,’ and there’s supposed to be a nice character shift“.

Production on the film ran from July 2025 to November 2025. The story continues Paul Atreides’ journey as Muad’Dib, exploring his rise to power and the challenges that come with it.

These first posters and the teaser announcement already make Dune: Part Three feel darker and more intense than its predecessors. The time jump and new character designs hint at exciting developments for fans of the series. Do you think these first looks live up to the hype? Share your thoughts in the comments.
