Adria Arjona Had to Be Convinced Not to Walk Away From Major Role

Adria Arjona is now known as one of the rising names in Hollywood, but she has been open about how uncertain she once felt early in her career. Even a major role in the fantasy series Good Omens almost became something she walked away from before filming even started.

In her words, “It was the first role that was ever just offered to me, which is so bizarre. I was at a point in my career that nothing should have been offered to me. And [Neil Gaiman] was like, ‘No, it’s you. I see you, and I only see you in this role’. And I was like, ‘How the hell do you even know who I am?’ And I think it was the first time that I felt really insecure about my take on a character because I didn’t earn it.”

Despite her doubts, Arjona stayed with the project. In Good Omens, she played Anathema Device, a character who joins forces with an angel and a demon in a story about stopping the end of the world. The series became a success and was praised for its humor and the chemistry between its lead actors.

Arjona did not return for later episodes, but the show itself continued to grow in popularity. A third season is expected to arrive in 2026, although it has gone through changes behind the scenes.

Looking at her career today, Arjona has moved far beyond those early doubts. She is now part of several major film projects, including big studio productions and high-profile remakes, showing how much her profile has grown in recent years.
