The cast of Running Point recently stopped by SiriusXM Studios to promote the upcoming second season of the show. The visit happened on Tuesday, April 21, and the actors joined SiriusXM’s Front Row program for an interview about the new episodes.

Among those present were Kate Hudson, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, and Drew Tarver. They spoke about what fans can expect when the new season arrives later this month.

The show follows the story of Isla Gordon, played by Kate Hudson. She takes over her family’s professional basketball team and quickly learns that managing it is not simple. The series mixes sports, comedy, and personal drama as she deals with challenges both on and off the court.

Season 2 of the series is set to release on Netflix on April 23. The show was created by Elaine Ko, Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, and first premiered in early 2025 before being renewed for another season.

During promotion for the new season, Brenda Song also shared a small behind-the-scenes story about a reference in the show linked to her real-life partner Macaulay Culkin. She explained that a flashback scene includes a nod to the film My Girl, which is part of a storyline about her character Ally and Isla’s early relationship as college roommates.

She commented on the situation in a casual way, saying, “That was all the writers. He just signed off on it two days ago. I’m like, ‘Babe, the show’s premiering next week. Sign off on it.’”

The appearance at SiriusXM also came shortly after another major cast visit from The Devil Wears Prada 2 promotion, showing that the studio has been busy with several high-profile guests.

The cast spent most of their time talking about the upcoming season, the characters, and the new situations Isla will face as she continues running the team.

This kind of promotion helps build excitement before a new season drops, especially when cast members share small personal stories like Brenda Song did. It makes the show feel more real and fun for fans. What do you think about the new season and the Easter egg she revealed? Share your thoughts in the comments.
