Prime Video is rolling out a new push aimed at young adult viewers, along with a live fan event designed to bring its upcoming shows and movies closer to audiences.

According to an announcement from Amazon MGM Studios, the company is launching an initiative called “Obsession Is In Session.” The goal is to position Prime Video as a top destination for YA content and to build stronger fan communities around its stories.

As part of this plan, the streamer is introducing its first major fan event called Obsessed Fest. It will take place on June 27 in Los Angeles at nya Studios and will focus on upcoming YA films and series from Prime Video.

The event is designed as an immersive experience. Fans will get early previews of new projects, meet cast members and creators, and take part in interactive activities built around different shows and stories. The lineup includes titles such as “The Love Hypothesis,” “Every Year After,” “Elle,” “Off Campus,” “Overcompensating,” “Your Fault: London,” and “Drawn Together,” along with other upcoming YA projects.

The event will also feature different themed spaces. There will be live sessions with talent, a literary area for author talks and book signings, and set recreations where fans can step into scenes from popular stories. Organizers are also planning screenings, exclusive merchandise, food inspired by on-screen moments, and spaces for fans to connect with each other.

Sue Kroll, who leads marketing at Amazon MGM Studios, explained the idea behind the event in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter. She said, “Audiences today don’t just consume stories-they inhabit them, build communities around them, and carry them far beyond the screen. Obsessed Fest is our invitation to bring that energy into the real world-a space where fandom, storytelling, and genuine connection converge in a way that feels immediate, immersive, and unforgettable.”

Ahead of the live event, Prime Video also released a teaser trailer showing first looks at several upcoming YA titles. These include “Off Campus,” “Elle,” “Sterling Point,” “The Last Sunrise,” “The Love Hypothesis,” “The Devil’s Mouth,” “Maxton Hall” season 3, “Perfectos Mentirosos,” and “Clashing Through the Snow,” among others.

The new fan event also connects to Prime Video’s existing Prime Book Club program, which focuses on adapting books into screen projects. Obsessed Fest will be the first live extension of that effort, bringing authors, creators, and actors together with fans in person.

This is a smart move from Prime Video because YA fans are very active online and like to follow shows closely from the start. Creating a real-life event around that energy can build stronger loyalty and hype for upcoming releases. Still, it will depend on how well the shows actually deliver after all the promotion.
