‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Star Jon Bernthal Shares Sweet Prediction About Tom Holland’s Future As A Dad
Jon Bernthal recently shared kind words about longtime friend Tom Holland and said he believes the Spider-Man star will one day become a great father.
Bernthal recently spoke about his friendship with Holland and how far the actor has come over the years. The two first worked together on the 2015 film Pilgrimage, before either of them joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Bernthal said he has known Holland since he was a teenager and always saw something special in him. He explained, “I’ve known him since I was 17. At that age, I’ve never seen anyone with that kind of determination, that kind of trust, that kind of belief, while also being deeply kind and good.”
He also praised Holland’s personal life and character away from acting. Bernthal added, “I love seeing what’s become his. He’s a real movie star. I love the other half of him. I love that he’s in love. I’m so glad he found that.”
The actor continued by saying that Holland cares more about being a good person than fame itself. He said, “I know what’s important to him, at the end of the day, is being a good man. He’s going to be a great father.”
There is no news that Holland is expecting a child, but Bernthal’s comments quickly caught attention online because of how personal and supportive they were.
Bernthal also shared a story about how both actors helped each other audition for their Marvel roles years ago while filming in Ireland. According to him, they practiced scenes together for their self-tapes during downtime on set.
He said, “He read with me for Punisher, and I read with him for Spider-Man. And we both got cast.”
That moment ended up changing both of their careers. Holland went on to become one of Marvel’s biggest stars as Spider-Man, while Bernthal became a fan favorite as Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher.
