Footage has surfaced showing actor Benedict Cumberbatch involved in a heated argument with another cyclist in central London.

The information comes from The Sun, which reported eyewitness accounts and video from the scene near King’s Cross Station and St Pancras International. The incident is said to have taken place around 5:30pm on Tuesday.

According to witnesses, the situation began when Cumberbatch was riding his cargo bike in a cycle lane. Another cyclist followed him, and tensions quickly escalated into a public argument on the street.

In the video, a masked cyclist can be heard shouting at the actor, “You’re deluded, You’re lying. I was behind you the entire time.”

Cumberbatch responds during the exchange, saying, “Dude, you verbally abused me.” The cyclist fires back, accusing him of breaking road rules and repeatedly running red lights, while Cumberbatch denies the claims.

The masked cyclist also says, “Oh no, I verbally abused the guy who completely repeatedly broke the law,” as the argument continues in front of shocked onlookers.

Witnesses told The Sun that the exchange lasted around ten minutes and became very loud. One passerby said the two men were blocking the cycle lane while arguing and drawing attention from people nearby.

The same witness also claimed the situation felt unusual and intense, saying it seemed almost unreal as it unfolded. They added that some bystanders recognized Cumberbatch and were surprised to see him involved in the argument.

At one point, schoolchildren nearby reportedly asked if it was the actor and requested a photo. The witness said Cumberbatch agreed to take selfies after the confrontation ended, appearing calm and polite with fans.

The masked cyclist eventually left the scene, ending the dispute.
