Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman were seen together in New York on Wednesday, making a rare public appearance as a couple.
The pair attended a presentation for Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2027 collection held at the Frick Collection museum. They were photographed together outside the venue, standing close and posing for cameras. While they have been married for many years, the couple is usually private and rarely appears at public events together.
For the occasion, Anne Hathaway wore a polished and elegant outfit that matched the luxury fashion setting. She chose a grey and white dress paired with high heels and a Louis Vuitton handbag. She completed her look with jewellery from Bulgari’s Serpenti line, which included a necklace, earrings, and bracelet.
Shulman, on the other hand, wore a much more relaxed outfit. He appeared in a white jacket layered over a plain white T-shirt, paired with faded blue jeans and black sneakers. He also wore sunglasses, which was the only noticeable designer accessory in his look. His casual style stood out next to Hathaway’s formal fashion appearance, something that many social media users quickly commented on after the photos were released.
The contrast between their outfits became the main talking point online, with fans joking that Shulman looked like he was heading to a skate park while Hathaway looked ready for a high-end runway event. The difference highlighted their opposite fashion choices for the same luxury occasion.
Anne Hathaway, known globally for films like The Devil Wears Prada, has often spoken about how important her family life is to her. She and Shulman have been together since meeting in 2008 at the Palm Springs Film Festival. Hathaway once said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK that she immediately felt a strong connection, saying, “he was the love of my life.”

Shulman has worked as an actor, producer, and jewelry designer. He co-founded the jewelry brand James Banks Design and even helped design Hathaway’s engagement ring. He studied theater at Brown University and has appeared in small roles in television and film earlier in his career.
Despite their different public profiles, the couple has remained one of Hollywood’s more stable long-term relationships. They are often seen supporting each other at events, although they tend to keep a low profile compared to other celebrity couples.
Their latest appearance in New York once again drew attention, not for any major announcement, but for the simple contrast between Hathaway’s glamorous fashion moment and Shulman’s laid-back style.
