Sullivan’s Crossing‘ has never been short on emotional gut-punches, but the Season 3 finale managed to outdo itself by dropping one of the most jaw-dropping cliffhangers in the show’s run. With Maggie’s secret husband suddenly standing in the middle of the Crossing, audiences have been desperate for news on what comes next.

The wait is nearly over, and the Season 4 cast list is already telling a story of its own. A wave of fresh faces is heading to rural Nova Scotia, and every new addition seems deliberately chosen to shake up the dynamics fans have spent three seasons investing in.

The Returning ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Core Cast Anchoring Season 4

Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, and Scott Patterson headline the series as always, with Kohan’s Maggie Sullivan navigating legal trouble while reconnecting with her estranged father and sorting out her complicated relationship with Cal. Series regulars also include Tom Jackson as Frank Cranebear, Andrea Menard as Edna Cranebear, Lindura as Sydney Shandon, and Reid Price as Rob Shandon.

However, one major change is hitting the ensemble hard. Patterson will not be physically present in Season 4, with showrunner Roma Roth explaining that Season 3 ended with Sully leaving for Ireland and beginning a new chapter in his life, with Season 4 picking up the following day while Sully remains overseas.

Roth added that the character remains an important part of the show’s world with the potential to return in future seasons. Season 4 will instead lean heavily into the love triangle drama between Maggie, Cal, and Liam, her forgotten husband who showed up unexpectedly at the end of last season.

Marcus Rosner and Maggie’s Secret Husband Storyline

Marcus Rosner has been confirmed as a series regular for the upcoming season following his appearance in the Season 3 finale, where his character Liam was introduced as Maggie’s old summer fling who had returned to seemingly stir up trouble. The shocking moment came just as Maggie and Cal thought they had cleared their biggest hurdle and were planning to move in together, only for Liam to reveal himself as Maggie’s husband.

Kohan told Yahoo Canada that her character’s whole world at the start of Season 4 is not what she anticipated, saying Maggie had just settled in with Cal before everything changed. Showrunner Roma Roth said in a statement that Season 4 will explore themes of change and transformation, promising a whole new set of exciting and emotional challenges for Maggie and Cal.

The New Series Regulars Bringing Fresh Energy to the Crossing

Four new actors have joined ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ as series regulars for Season 4, with Fuad Ahmed, Jonathan Silverman, Colby Frost, and Emerson MacNeil all coming aboard. Production took place in Nova Scotia, continuing the show’s commitment to its authentic Canadian setting.

Ahmed plays Amir Malik, the youngest chef ever to be awarded a Michelin star, who has left his New York City bistro to visit his friend Rob at the Crossing, though his arrival threatens to disrupt Rob and Sydney’s working relationship.

Silverman was cast as Quincy Carlson, a prickly camper with a stressful job that has made him prone to quick irritation and mistrust, though despite his testy exterior, Quincy and Maggie may find unexpected common ground.

Colby Frost, Emerson MacNeil and a New Generation at the Crossing

Frost plays Ben Nelson, a young man who takes a job at Lola’s youth group to support his family while looking out for his little sister Tracy, with his story reminding Cal a great deal of his own younger years and setting up an unexpected mentorship.

Also back for Season 4 as returning guest stars are Cindy Sampson as Jane, Steve Lund as Fire Chief Cooper, Jayne Eastwood as Mrs. Bailey, and Meghan Ory as Sedona, alongside Glen Gould as Frank’s friend Danny. The sheer breadth of characters heading into this season signals that the writers are building something with real scope and ambition.

When ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Season 4 Premieres and Where to Watch

The CW confirmed that ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Season 4 will premiere in 2026, with the new season consisting of 10 episodes. The Season 4 premiere date on CTV was confirmed as March 22.

All three previous seasons of ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ are currently streaming on Netflix, making it easy for newcomers to catch up on everything leading into the most dramatic chapter yet. With Scott Patterson stepping back, a love triangle set to explode, and five brand new series regulars arriving to shake things up, this season is positioning itself as the most ambitious in the show’s history.

Whether you are rooting for Cal or secretly hoping Liam has a compelling story of his own, the real question Season 4 is daring audiences to answer is this: now that you know exactly who is walking through the door of ‘Sullivan’s Crossing,’ which new addition do you think is going to have the biggest impact on Maggie’s future?
