‘Off Campus’ Smashes “All-Time” Streaming Record on Amazon Prime Video

The romantic drama “Off Campus” has made a huge impact on Amazon Prime Video just days after its release. The series follows college students at Briar University, where a fake relationship slowly turns into real feelings between the main characters Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, played by Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli.

According to Amazon, the show reached around 36 million viewers in its first 12 days of streaming. The company does not clearly explain how it defines a “viewer,” so the number may include people who only watched part of an episode. Even with that detail, the performance is still being seen as a major success.

Amazon also confirmed that “Off Campus” is now the third biggest debut series in the platform’s history. Only “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” and “Fallout” have performed better in their first 12 days. That places it ahead of several well-known titles like “The Boys,” “Reacher,” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty” when comparing debut performance in the same time window.

The show has also performed especially well with younger audiences. Among women aged 18 to 34, “Off Campus” is the most-watched debut in Amazon Prime Video history. This audience has been important for the platform, especially after the success of “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” which also built a strong fan base among teen and young adult viewers.

Amazon MGM Studios head of global TV Peter Friedlander praised the response from viewers. The series is created by Louisa Levy and co-showrun by Gina Fattore. It is based on the popular “Off-Campus” book series by Elle Kennedy. The story focuses on romance, friendship, and college life, with a strong emphasis on relationships that develop over time.

The supporting cast includes Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Antonio Cipriano, Josh Heuston, and Steve Howey, among others. The series also features recurring characters played by a wide ensemble that helps expand the world of Briar University.
