Tom Hardy Gets Public Support From Helen Mirren Amid ‘MobLand’ Drama
Helen Mirren has shown clear public support for her “MobLand” co-star Tom Hardy, even as reports of behind-the-scenes tension continue to spread online.
The moment that sparked attention happened on social media. Helen Mirren posted a photo of Tom Hardy and added a short but direct message. She wrote, “Love you now and always.” The post quickly caught attention because it came at a time when rumors about conflict on set were already circulating.
Those rumors suggested that Hardy may have been difficult to work with during the production of “MobLand” Season 2. Some reports claimed he spent long periods in his trailer and caused delays for cast and crew, including Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. However, these claims have not been confirmed by official production statements.
According to Variety, Tom Hardy has not been fired from the series. In fact, he is still in talks to return if the show continues into a third season. One production source told Variety, “Tom was not fired, the door is not closed for Season 3 and things are being worked through creatively.”
The same report explains that while there were real tensions during production, Hardy’s future on the show is still open. No final decision has been made about whether he will return as Harry Da Souza, his character in the series.
“MobLand” is a crime drama that became one of Paramount+’s biggest hits after its first season launched in 2025. The show focuses on a British crime family and features major roles from Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Tom Hardy. The series was created by Ronan Bennett and Jez Butterworth, with production from 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios. Director Guy Ritchie also plays a major role as an executive producer and has directed several episodes.
Season 2 of the show has already been filmed but has not yet been released. Plans for Season 3 were being discussed, with Hardy expected to return if production moves forward.

Reports about tension on set first appeared in entertainment media, including claims of disagreements between Hardy and members of the creative team. According to Variety’s reporting, there were real creative challenges during production, but nothing that officially removed Hardy from the project.
Some of the reported issues involved scheduling and script changes. Sources claimed that Hardy prefers strong preparation before filming, while scripts were sometimes delivered close to shooting dates. One insider said, “Tom likes to prepare.”
There were also reported difficulties with coordination on set. At times, the writing team was not always present during filming, which made quick changes more complicated. In some cases, director Guy Ritchie helped manage decisions on set due to his experience working in fast production environments.
Despite the reported friction, sources also made it clear that Hardy remains an important part of the show’s success. One insider told Variety that removing him would significantly affect the series, although the production could technically continue without him.
Importantly, no reports suggest any personal conflict between Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Tom Hardy. In fact, Mirren’s social media post suggests a positive working relationship between the actors, even during a stressful production period.
At the moment, the future of “MobLand” is still undecided. Season 2 is complete, and discussions continue about Season 3. Hardy’s return remains possible, depending on how creative and production issues are resolved.
For now, Helen Mirren’s public message stands out as a clear sign of support, cutting through the speculation and showing that at least on a personal level, there is no breakdown between the co-stars.
