‘FROM’ Showrunners Just Confirmed Its Most Important Revelation Yet
The creators of ‘FROM‘ have officially confirmed one of the most significant pieces of mythology in the show’s history, and its implications reach all the way back to the very beginning of Victor’s story.
In a Reddit AMA held ahead of the Season 4 finale, showrunners John Griffin and Jeff Pinkner revealed that only four characters in the entire series trace their lineage back to the Town’s original souls, those being Jade, Tabitha, Miranda, and Victor.
The confirmation is enormous for a show that has spent four seasons carefully controlling how much it reveals about the nature of the Township and the people who are truly connected to its deepest mythology.
Most of the Town’s residents, as previously confirmed in the same AMA, were drawn there because they heard the cries of the sacrificed children while at a crossroads in their lives. But Jade, Tabitha, Miranda, and Victor are something categorically different from those minnows, to use the show’s own terminology.
Season 3’s finale had already established that Tabitha and Jade are reincarnations of Miranda and Christopher, two souls who have been returning to the Township across multiple lifetimes in a repeating cycle, each time attempting to save the murdered children. Tabitha explained to her husband Jim that the cycle keeps repeating because they failed the first time, and that she and Jade once shared a daughter they could not save, which is the original event the Township has been cycling around ever since.

What the AMA now adds is that Victor, Miranda’s son and the Town’s longest-surviving current resident, shares that same original lineage. This has sparked a wave of theories about whether Victor, as the surviving child of the original Miranda, may be the key to breaking the cycle, with some analysts suggesting that the unresolved question of a child who was never sacrificed sits at the very heart of why the Town cannot be escaped.
The connection between these four characters and the Town’s original founding event runs deeper than the show has shown on screen, with the ghost children’s repeated word “Anghkooey” confirmed to simply mean “remember,” a direct call to these four souls to recover the memories that would allow them to complete what they originally set out to do.
Victor has been aware on some level that a cycle has been repeating before the events of the current series, and Season 4 has positioned him as a crucial source of fragmented but irreplaceable knowledge, particularly about what Christopher, his past-life counterpart to Jade, actually knew on the night of the childhood massacre.
The Season 4 finale, titled “If a Tree Falls in the Forest,” airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on MGM+ and runs approximately ninety minutes, with Season 5 confirmed as the series’ final chapter. With the lineage of the original souls now officially narrowed to four people, what happens to each of them tonight carries a mythological weight that no other character in the Township can claim.
