Jack Reacher Is Back – Prime Video Announces Season 4 Release Date

‘Reacher’ fans finally have a date to mark on their calendars. After months of waiting, Prime Video has officially confirmed when Alan Ritchson’s action series will return for Season 4. The new season will premiere on August 12, bringing back the former military investigator for another dangerous mission.

The release date was confirmed by Entertainment Weekly, which reported that the hit series will return just over a year after Season 3 ended on March 27, 2025. The announcement comes shortly after Prime Video renewed the show for a fifth season, showing the streamer’s continued confidence in the popular action franchise.

Based on the bestselling book series by Lee Child, ‘Reacher’ follows Jack Reacher, a former U.S. Army military police major who lives a quiet life on the road. However, Reacher always seems to find himself pulled into complicated situations involving crime, corruption, and dangerous enemies.

Since its debut in 2022, the series has become one of Prime Video’s biggest successes. The show has earned strong reviews from critics and has regularly ranked among the platform’s most-watched titles. Alan Ritchson’s performance as the massive and fearless Jack Reacher has also become one of the main reasons behind the show’s popularity.

Season 4 will adapt Lee Child’s novel ‘Gone Tomorrow,’ which takes Reacher into New York City as he becomes involved in a possible terrorist threat. The upcoming story will once again put the character in a high-stakes situation where his skills and instincts are tested.

Along with Ritchson returning as Reacher, the new season will feature several new cast members. Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, known for ‘Barry,’ joins the series alongside Sydelle Noel from ‘GLOW.’ The cast will also include Marc Blucas, Kevin Weisman, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kathleen Robertson, and Kevin Corrigan.

Nick Santora will continue leading the series as showrunner and executive producer. The creative team behind the show remains focused on bringing more of Lee Child’s novels to life, with Season 5 already confirmed before Season 4 has even premiered.

The early renewal shows how important the franchise has become for Prime Video. Peter Friedlander, Amazon MGM Studios’ head of global television, previously described the series as a “true powerhouse franchise.”

The success of ‘Reacher’ has helped turn Alan Ritchson into one of the most recognizable action stars on television. Fans have praised the series for its mix of intense fight scenes, mystery, and the simple but effective appeal of watching Reacher take on criminals who underestimate him.
